About Geraldton Cemetery Board
The Geraldton Cemetery Board is a statutory authority responsible for the governance, management and operation of the Geraldton Cemetery.
We work in partnership with our community, stakeholders and service providers to ensure the cemetery is maintained to a high standard, operates responsibly, and continues to meet the needs of the region now and into the future.
Our focus is on stewardship, transparency and service — ensuring our grounds remain a place of dignity, reflection and respect.
The Opportunity
As a Board Member, you will play a key role in providing strategic oversight, sound governance and thoughtful guidance to support the Cemetery Board’s long-term direction and operational effectiveness.
You will work collaboratively with fellow Board Members and management to ensure strong decision-making, compliance with legislative responsibilities, and the sustainable management of financial, land and community resources.

About You
You are someone who:
Has experience in governance, finance, law, public administration, property, infrastructure, community services or commercial leadership
Brings sound judgement, professionalism and a strategic mindset
Is comfortable contributing to Board-level discussions and decisions
Values transparency, service and community impact
Understands the importance of cultural sensitivity and respect in cemetery and memorial services
People with lived experience, community leadership or public sector involvement are strongly encouraged to apply, though a commitment to respectful governance and service is essential.
